The real challenge was constructing a winning compliant bid in only four weeks. We had to learn quickly. The sheer volume of the submission requirements was one of the toughest we have ever done weighing 25kg for a single submission. Our sell was that best value does not equal lowest tender price. In every evaluation area we demonstrated where we were delivering value. We found an ex RAF commandant to review the key sells and ensured the whole bid looked amazing. When we won the RAF commented that this was the most impressive bid they’d received and should be a benchmark for excellence.
